A U.S. Dept. of Veteran’s Affairs television segment features the Denver-based Veterans Green Jobs Academy, a training and career development program for discharged and retired service members in the burgeoning alternative energy and environmental conservation sector.
The Denver program which graduated its first class of 15 energy efficiency experts in May is planning to expand nationwide in 2010. New programs are also being developed in alternative energy technology, reforestation and green construction/retrofitting.
